ADMINISTRATION
An Executive Board
CECC is guided by an executive board
which directs and controls the consortium, approves memberships and contracts,
establishes fee structures, approves new project requests, and approves the
consortium and project budgets. To allow for equal representation, each member
appoints a representative to serve on the Board.
Notice of Intention to Adopt a Conflict of Interest Code
Member Ownership
CECC members understand the importance of new product development and believe
their investments today will benefit the educational system in the future.
New development efforts take place within the larger context of CECC's vision,
which is to move towards an open system architecture based on industry standards.
All revenues for software development are derived solely from revenues contributed
by members.
Planned Project Development
CECC members initiate all new software requests. Upon approval by the Board,
study teams are formed comprised of user, management, and technical personnel.
These teams define the software parameters, in terms of scope and user requirements;
adhering to published CECC project planning standards. The result is intense
user, management, and technical involvement in software that truly meets the
special needs of the education market.
Support Services Involvement
Involvement of personnel from all organizational levels and member ownership
of developed products enhances the ability for CECC to develop quality software
systems which meet the needs of the end users.
CECC is adapting to new technologies, while at the same time leveraging our existing investments in the HP3000 computing environment. The Teacher Credentials system is of client/server origin, operating under a graphical user interface umbrella.
