Retirement
The Retirement
System is a control database interacting directly with the Payroll database
to provide extensive, district definable editing capabilities prior to the Payroll
Update process and to allow the Retirement Department to electronically control
the STRS and PERS reporting cycles. To facilitate this process, the Retirement
System is structured into three primary components: 1) County Retirement Controls
2) Payroll Production, and 3) Retirement Production.
The Retirement
System provides the ability to:
- Create or
modify a District Control Record.
- Indicate levels
of error severity.
- Create and
maintain an Edit Error Table.
- Create English
Verbiage Records to describe the error codes.
- Create per
district, combination code (consisting of retirement system, account code,
pay code, and contribution code) which is directly linked to one or more specified
Time Distribution and Payroll codes.
- Provide pre-payroll
editing.
- Electronically
update and/or inspect all existing retirement records for a selected employee.
- Generate comprehensive
reports for each component within the Retirement System.
- Update and
control multiple employee pay lines by cycle prior to the History roll process.
- View the retirement
load process, Retirement Verification Records and/or History for a selected
employee using the WINDOWS function.
- Adjust STRS
and/or PERS records prior to submission to the state.
- Generate a
STRS and/or PERS final report whereby an electronic tape is automatically
created for submission to the state.
- Track classified
hours to determine PERS eligibility.
- Track certificated
hours to determine STRS eligibility.
- Report History
of an employee by cycle year.
